These Foolish Things
is a Norton Players production
at Coal Aston Village Hall
A musical and drama tribute to those who fought, died and loved during the Second World War and the families they left behind.
There will be plenty of tears--- and laughter---from 11 drama sketches, but, above all, a huge sense of patriotism as the large cast, including a number of our younger members, sings such stirring anthems as Rose of England, Land of Hope and Glory and There’ll Always Be an England.
There will also be a long list of much-loved songs from that era, including Underneath the Arches, Auf Weidersehen Sweetheart, In Room 504, White Cliffs of Dover, I’m Gonna Get Lit Up, Chattanooga Choo Choo, We’ll Meet Again, Apple Blossom Time, and the show-stopping Lambeth Walk, and not forgetting some of the artistes who performed them such as the Andrews Sisters and Flanagan and Allen. The Cheekie Chappie himself, Max Miller, will also make an appearance.
Please reserve your seats early because this production is expected to be heavily booked.
